CSMダイレクターの仲澤輝宏は、骨髄移植という命のボランティアを行いました。
骨髄移植とは（日本骨髄バンクHPより抜粋）：
白血病や再生不良性貧血などの病気によって、正常な造血が行われなくなってしまった患者さんの骨髄幹細胞を、健康な方の骨髄幹細胞と入れ替える（実際は骨髄液を点滴静注する）ことにより、造血機能を回復させる治療法です。 日本では「骨髄バンク事業」が1992年から開始され、これまでに多くの患者さんを救う実績をあげています。しかし、日本の骨髄バンクで骨髄移植を必要とする患者さんは、毎年少なくとも2000人程度です。
仲澤がドナー登録をしたのは、2005年に高校時代の後輩が骨髄移植を受けないといけない状態になったことがきっかけでした。候補になった後に2～3回の検査があり、最終同意を経て、1日がかりの最終検査を受けました。全身麻酔をして骨髄液の採取手術を行い、入院は3泊4日にわたりました。2人の小さなお子さんを含め、ご家族全員の理解があって実現したものでした。
「私は医者ではないので、なかなか人の命を救うことができる機会はありません。骨髄移植をすることにより、自分の体で人の命を救うことができるのであれば 非常に光栄なことです。個人情報の観点から詳細はわかりませんが、今回私が提供したのは10歳以下の男のお子さんです。手術後に親御さんからお礼の手紙をいただきましたが、家族全員でお子様の病気と闘ってきたことを知り、今回の移植手術の意味の大きさを感じました。早く回復されて学校に行くことができることを願ってます。
また、ドナーに選ばれても、体調 や業務、家族の同意といった全てがクリアにならないと手術までたどりつけません。私は会社・上司・チームから全面的なサポートをいただいて、骨髄移植手術 までたどり着けることができました。この場を借りて感謝申し上げます。
最後に、もし興味を持っていらっしゃる方がいらっしゃれば骨髄バンクに登録することをお勧めします。登録は簡単で、献血センターで移植に関するビデオを見て少量の血を腕から採取するだけで済みます。
骨髄を脊髄と勘違いされている方がいらっしゃいますが、骨髄移植手術の目的は血液中に存在する”幹細胞”を取得して患者さんに提供することです。移植手術は脊髄ではなく腰骨から採取します。リスクはゼロとは言いませんが、採取技術も年々進化しており、私は術後一度も痛み止めを処方していただく必要もなかったほどです。移植手術については詳しくは骨髄バンクのHPをご覧下さい。」

Teruhiro Nakazawa, Director, CSM donated his bone marrow to a person in need of a transplant. He used his paid days of volunteering time.
The basic idea of the Bone Marrow Bank is to save patients with intractable diseases of blood like leukaemia, by using the healthy marrow from a donor.
Teru registered as a donor in 2005 when a junior in high school needed a bone marrow transplant. After he agreed to be a donor, he had a detailed medical check-up and was hospitalized for 4 days, before and after the operation to remove his bone marrow. This couldn't have been achieved without the support of his family.
Teru says, ''I am not a doctor but this is something I can do to save the life of someone in need. I am really proud of my decision. I only know that the recipient was a 10 year old boy. I realized from the hearty letter his parents sent me after the operation that it was not only the boy but also his entire family fighting for his disease. I am wishing him a speedy recovery so he can soon be back to school.
If you are chosen as a donor, you need to meet all the conditions such as body conditions, absense leave, and consent from family members to have operation. I was lucky enough to get full supports from my company, my boss and my team. I would like to thank everyone who made this happen!

To be a donor, the registration is quite easy; just go to a blood donation center to watch a video on the transplantation and taking a blood sample. Some people confound bone marrow with spinal cord. You donate stem cells in the blood from your side bone, not from the spinal cord. I cannot say that it is risk-free but medical technologies have been advancing day by day. I didn't even need a pain killer after the operation.''
