Twenty-one salesforce.com employees spent the day with over 500 students to serve as role models to elementary school children while facilitating Junior Achievement’s School Program at Peabody and McCoppin Elementary School. Eric Moore spearheaded the event and shares the details of the day.
The Junior Achievement staff provided the training, support, and materials; we provided the enthusiasm and individual experiences that students love! We started our JA day by meeting at our assigned school for a brief orientation, received a tour by our classroom teacher, and were introduced to the school principle. Each employee taught five hands-on lesson plans provided by Junior Achievement, in their own classroom, and then enjoyed recess with students. The day concluded with time to share stories during a Teacher/Volunteer celebration lunch.
There are many more opportunities to volunteer through this program! Please search Volunteer Force or contact Eric Moore.
