Salesforce.Com In San Francisco Celebrates Random Acts Of Kindness™ Week November 11 – 17, 2001

November 2001

San Francisco, CA…Each year, The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation helps thousands of people around the world celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week. From supplying programmatic materials, guidance and support to helping with community connections, nonviolence issues and character education, The Foundation helps volunteers plan Kindness activities and projects that encourage everyday Kindness and compassion.

The year 2001 marks the seventh annual Random Acts of Kindness Week, which encompasses tens of thousands of volunteers and school children who actively participate in local Kindness events in over 5,000 communities and 35 countries. Volunteers at Salesforce.com Foundation are actively participating and some of the San Francisco Kindness projects include:

  • Employees from the Salesforce.com Foundation will visit some of the Community Technology Centers that they supports to share stories and talk about how they can perform Random Acts of Kindness.
  • The volunteers will talk about Random Acts of Kindness. They will then generate a list of Random Acts of Kindnesses and help the children make posters and/or banners on their computers.
  • Salesforce.com employees will also hand out Random Acts of Kindness post cards and other Kindness-related items.

These people and thousands of other volunteers across the country are working in conjunction with The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation to bring greater awareness and attention to the importance of Kindness in our daily lives.
